Shooting Sports can be anything from Plinking cans, Skeet (shooting clay pigeons), High Powered Rifle (long range target), Pistol (IDPA, USPSA, GPA) or any of many different varieties of shooting a pistol, shotgun or rifle. Archery even comes into play here. The main goal is to practice safely and accurately. Remember the rule POA/POI (Point of Aim/Point of Impact). Learning to handle a firearm safely should be the main concern of anyone and everyone. Going to the range is one of the best ways to practice the skill and assure yourself that you know how to safely handle, load and discharge a firearm. So get out there and shoot. FYI: Always remember you are responsible for the bullet from the time it leaves your firearm till it hit its target (comes to rest) where ever that might be.

Gun Shop that has a Indoor range, rental guns available as well as ammunition and additional targets. They have safety glasses and hearing protection available for use also. Each range session includes 3 complimentary targets. They do not allow any shoulder fired pistols or rifles. They also do not allow 5.7×28 or 500 S&W handguns. So in short a pistol range.

Cherokee Rod and Gun Club is a Members Only non-profit shooting range and Club organized under federal guidelines chapter 501-c-7 located in Kingsport, TN. Their focus is to promote firearm safety and education.

Unaka Rod & Gun Club is located in Johnson City, Tennessee, and has a mission to provide a great place for members and their guests to enjoy the rifle, pistol, skeet, trap,5-stand, archery and lazy fishing days at the pond.

Located in Saltville Va a few miles from Chilhowie Va and Abingdon Va. They are a Shooting Range, Gun Club, They host IDPA Matches, Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, Archery.

They are a private facility to practice and enjoy shooting in a private, secluded location, they have individual shooting bays, target stands and steel targets are available for your use

Bubbling Springs Shooting Range is located a short distance off TN 107, 3 miles south of the Greene/Cocke county line. Four shooting targets are available for target practice ranging from 25, 50, 100, 150 yards. Users need to supply their own targets and mounting clips.

Pond Mtn Range has targets set up at 25, 50, 100 yards. Please bring your own paper targets, and paper targets only. If an injury or emergency arises, please call 911.

A nice covered facility with both rifle and pistol ranges. Three target holders are available for practice shooting. Each target holder has a trail lead into the target holder. Please use caution in shooting range area and pick up your spent casings and trash before you leave. Camping is available at Gee Creek Campground or along Spring Creek. Picnic Areas and river opportunities are available on the Hiwassee River.

Orsa Action Pistol

The action pistol range is used for competitions for the several disciplines: IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Assoc), USPSA (United States Practical Shooting Assoc.), Cowboy Action, Multigun, and steel challenge matches. Outside of these competitions, the action pistol range can be used for competition practice by ORSA members.
